About Us

MODE SUZAN

Town Crier readers voted Mode Suzan the Gold Award winner for Women's Fashion for third consecutive year.

Established in the fall of 1990. We are celebrating over 20 years on Bayview Avenue in Leaside, Ontario as a little dress shop.

New owner Lorna Beddall bought the store in spring of 2006. With the help of her Mother Muriel Armour, the store has flourished and grown.

Our first store was Black Rose Boutique at 99 Yorkville Ave., Toronto in 1979-1980. The rose logo from that store is being used again today for Mode Suzan.

Our goal is to support Canadian manufacturing. Joseph Ribkoff is the main line that we carry. For the fourth year in a row, they are the official designer of Miss America.

We strive to give the best personal service and will special order up to size 22.

Always looking for different and fresh lines to offer, we looked to Europe and the U.S.A for inspiration.

We carry a wide range of Mason Pearson( since 1885) hair brushes and combs hand made in England.

As a friend and a customer of Lorna, the owner of Mode Suzan I will say that her choice of merchandise for her diverse clientele is excellent. I never come away from the store without several things catching my eye. During her four years she has become quite adept at purchasing unique items for her clients and her steadfast support of Canadian designers or Canadian made workmanship is always present.
